Making Education Hands On
Making Education Hands On
My daughter, Mara, started Kindergarten this year and her teacher has her own unique way of teaching. She is young and this is only her second year at the school, but I have to say I really like her approach.
She is a very laid back teacher. The kids do not have assigned seats and they do not do the normal school issued homework papers. As a matter a fact, she sent the whole years worth home for us to practice with!
She does unique projects with the kids and makes learning fun. I think Mara has learned so much more from her very hands on way of teaching and we as a family have learned a lot on teaching the kids in a fun way.
We now make up games we can play to learn and silly songs and dances. Mara is on her way to reading and while we do sound words out we also point to each word as we are reading to her and have her point to them and repeat them back.
Educating children is very important, I'm sure every parent feels the same. So make it fun and see how much more your children learn. You may be surprised at how much fun you have too!
